Shadow Games
Hand Shadow Puppetry
Eleven hand shadow figures are shown in each of the three booklets, representing the genre of one of the perhaps most ancient and simple optical games. To animate the hand shadow figures you only need a strong light source (e.g. a reading lamp) and a white background (such as a wall), and of course some manual skills and patience. It’s a must to practice during bedtime, but it is also a great fun while camping.
Shadow Theatre
Since the early days, our studio has been manufacturing easy-to-use shadow theatres for both children and adults. These theatres can be set up anywhere and may equally be used at home or at school. As in the case with most of our products, our shadow theatres are also characterized by the DIY method, meaning that before use you need to first finish the theatre and the mobile figures. To do so, you will find all parts and instructions included in the packages. You need to cut out the pieces as indicated and glue them together. You may want to use foam board to reinforce the sides. “Fanatical theatre makers” may further develop their shadow theatres with new figures, or even extra scenes and stage settings they draw on tracing paper.
